Healthy Exchanges Food Newsletters, March 1992, page 8. I added garlic, onion powder, and also Worcestershire sauce, as I almost always do with any of Jo's savory dishes. I also added a few frozen peas for color, as I don't like parsley much. It was really good. Just like Mom's as they say. Just plain good comfort food. My girls helped me make it and wanted extra mushrooms. They couldn't wait for it to get done, so they could eat it up. They liked it too. So kid tested and mom approved! 5 stars.

Dill Cheeseburger Meatloaf-
Rating-* * * * *

Healthy Exchanges Food Newsletter, March 1994 page 12 or 30 meals/30 minutes page 116. This is delicious. It's just like a Big Mac but better. All that's missing is some light Thousand Island dressing. If you like Big Mac's, you will love this. It will make you think you have died, and went to Mc Heaven! 5 stars, hands down!

Healthy Exchanges Food Newsletter, March 1999, page 4. I have tried this a few times. So far I have learned, do NOT use bottled lemon juice it curdles the milk mixture. Also I have learned that 2 tablespoons is just too much lemon juice even of the fresh. 1 tablespoon of fresh lemon juice seems to be just right. Made as is taste very close to KFC but with a weird tang that KFC's version does NOT have. I have a feeling the weird tang is curdled milk. And just too much lemon juice. When I used only 1 tablespoon of fresh lemon juice it seemed just right to me. Sweet and good tangy. And about as spot on to KFC coleslaw that you will get. UPDATE! I have been meaning to do this for years, but never gotten around to it. I went ahead and redid this coleslaw. I used 1 teaspoon of vinegar and 1 teaspoon of lemon juice at a time till it was about just right. I think I was up to 4 teaspoons each when I stopped, because I know my family would like it less tangy. I personally could of probably went up to 5 teaspoons each though. Next time I will use organic Apple Cider Vinegar in place of the white vinegar. But, this time it did NOT curdle or have the weird soured taste. I am also making this note, next time I will double the cabbage as it was way too much sauce.

Million Dollar Coconut Pie-
Rating-* * * * *

Healthy Exchanges Food Newsletter, March 1999, page 4. This is definitely my all time favorite! It is the best pie ever. And who would know it is sugar free, and low fat? If you like Furr's Cafeteria Millionaire Pie, you will fall in love with this recipe. It will definitely be seeing my table many times over. If I could give it more then 5 stars, I would! It definitely earned all 5 stars and then some!

Creamy Barbecued Burgers-
Rating-* * * * *

Healthy Exchanges Food Newsletter, March 1999 page 6. These were very good! They weren't really creamy, nor did I taste a barbecue flavor. However, they were excellent as taco burgers! I liked them with a dollop of fat free sour cream, to accentuate their taco flavor! 5 stars.

Daffodil Carrots-

Healthy Exchanges Food Newsletter, March 1999 page 11.I absolutely loved these carrots! They were bright as the sunshine! I would have these again and again. They definitely say SPRING is here! 5 stars.

Chocolate Surprise Pie-
Rating-* * * * *

Healthy Exchanges Food Newsletter, March 1999 pg 11. As the name suggest, this was surprisingly good. I really really like it. In fact, I'm taking it to my next congregation goody night! I loved the sweet tart of the topping, and the fudgy part of the bottom! I used the chocolate fudge pudding though instead of chocolate, cause that's what I had in the pantry, and it was fantastic! All 5 stars!

Pineapple Scallop-
Rating-* * * * *

Healthy Exchanges Food Newsletter, March 2004 page 5. ALL I can say is YUMMY! This was so comforting, and yet so fresh tasting with the pineapple. And so low in calories as well! How can you get better then that? You just can't. This is true comfort food, for so little calories. 5 stars.

South Seas Sweet Potatoes and Ham-
Rating-* * *

Healthy Exchanges Food Newsletter, March 2004 page 10 or Another Potful of Recipes, page 235. This was good. However, it's not very pretty. The cooking time takes most the color out of the ham and sweet potatoes. Also for my taste, I added on the side Walden Farms Pancake Syrup, and and Parkay Butter spray. However, I thought Just Plain Good Green Bean Bake was a good compliment for it. For me it gets 3 stars. Cause of color, and time to cut up the sweet potatoes.

Healthy Exchanges Food Newsletter, March 2007 page 7. I personally really liked it. It is very fresh and lemony! My children however did not like it. But, they generally do not seem to enjoy lemony or lime type desserts. It gets 4 stars from me. But, it is unlikely that I will make it again.

Zippy Supper Casserole-
Rating-* * * * *

Healthy Exchanges Food Newsletter, March 2008, page 6. I absolutely loved this! VERY good! However, next time I'm going to make it with cream of chicken soup instead of mushroom. This time however, I used the "smart" pasta, with fiber, and it was wonderful. It reminded me of something my step grandmother or mom would of made, so for sure this is comfort food. And HUGE servings. So it will be going in to the regular menu rotation in our house. ALL 5 stars.
